A new stirring controversy began on the Adidas swimsuit advertising campaign for June Pride month. Hundreds of posts with #AdidasHatesWomen went viral. Adidas has marketed and sold Pride Month merchandise previously also, however, this time, the issue is who the company chose to model the garment. The swimsuit with Love Unites” printed on it is listed in the Women’s Sportswear section of the Adidas website. But the two people modeling it present as gender nonbinary, which is attracting criticism from many on social media. One of those speaking out is former NCAA women’s swim star Riley Gaine who went to Twitter and said that the company could have at least labeled the swimsuit ‘unisex,’ but they didn't as they want to erase women. In reality, Adidas has 45 pages of women’s clothing, and almost all of the 2,139 garments have models wearing them. Scrolling the pages, you will know the company is neither erasing women nor drowning itself in so-called wokeness. There are thousands of clothing items for purchase on the site that isn’t being modeled by gender nonbinary persons. #Queer Up Business
