Alexander Millar Brings Groundbreaking Festival for Neurodivergent and D/disabled Communities

(STORY) Alexander Millar, also known as VATTICA, is spearheading Los Angeles' first-ever mini-festival tailored to the needs of the Neurodivergent and D/disabled communities. Named NEURONITE, the event will take place on Friday, July 26, at the innovative Media Pollution warehouse space. As a queer, nonbinary neurodivergent individual with lifelong OCD, Alex Millar's personal experiences inspire this initiative. NEURONITE aims to prioritize and celebrate neurodivergent individuals, both on and off stage. The festival will showcase artistic works by those often underrepresented in mainstream events due to lack of access and opportunity. Additionally, it seeks to create a live show environment that centers on the comfort and needs of the neurodivergent community. The festival features performances by VATTICA, Élishia Sharie, and Frankie Simone, with merchants and food vendors present. The NEURONITE team has designed the space with COVID safety, overstimulation, and community care in mind. A live stream will be available for those unable to attend in person. Supported by the California Arts Council and administered by Community Partners, NEURONITE represents a radical reimagining of conventional concerts, advocating for inclusion, celebration, and community engagement. #Queer Up Gay Culture
