Around 700 users Sue Grindr For Allegedly Sharing Their HIV Status

In a legal battle shaking the U.K., over 670 Grindr users are suing the app for allegedly sharing private information without consent. Accusations include divulging sensitive data like ethnicity and HIV status to third parties for profit. Grindr denies the claims, but this isn't the first time such concerns have surfaced. The lawsuit, filed by Austin Hayes in London’s High Court claims that the sharing took place between 2018 and 2020. The alleged recipients of the data were analytics companies Apptimize and Localytics. The plaintiffs are collectively seeking £100,000 which is around $123,552. #Queer Up The World View
