Australian Catholic University Students Walk Out Over Anti-LGBTQ Hate

Hundreds of students and lecturers walked out during Australian Catholic University's graduation in Melbourne after Joseph de Bruyn, former trade union leader, criticized abortion and same-sex marriage. De Bruyn, receiving an honorary doctorate, claimed abortion is "the single biggest killer of human beings" and that marriage is between a man and a woman, as “instituted by God.” Student Charlie Panteli described the speech as “selfish” and “shocking,” noting 95% of the attendees left after the remarks. #Queer Up The World View
