DNC Launches Six-Figure Grindr Ad to Rally LGBTQ Voters Ahead of The November Election

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is ramping up efforts to reach queer voters and it has created a targeted, six-figure ad campaign on Grindr. Launched yesterday, just days before Election Day, the campaign warns against a “dangerous Project 2025 blueprint” crafted by the ultraconservative Heritage Foundation. The DNC emphasizes the blueprint as “extreme and anti-equality,” and urges LGBTQ Americans to vote in response. In the words of Alex Floyd, DNC’s Rapid Response director, “LGBTQ+ Americans have fought tirelessly for equality — but Donald Trump’s MAGA GOP wants to drag us backwards and roll back our hard-earned freedoms.” Floyd underscored the importance of queer voter turnout to counter the GOP’s anti-LGBTQ agenda. As a part of DNC’s new campaign, Starting today, Grindr users will see inbox messages linking to IWillVote.com. By opening the link, they can check their registration, locate polling stations, and create a voting plan. The DNC expects over 14 million impressions from “Equality Voters” by Election Day. These voters make up a significant 38% of the electorate, with HRC data showing increased turnout from this group in recent elections. Many are younger and more diverse than the general population and a majority of them are women. This demographic has the power to influence close races in key states such as Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, where Democrats are pushing to secure crucial wins. #Queer Up Politics
