Does Size Matter? Study Links Self-Perception to Mental Health

A new study published in The Aging Male reveals a moderate link between men’s self-perception of their genital size and mental health. Conducted between March and June 2022, the research involved 75 heterosexual men with an average age of 47. Findings show that men with low confidence in their genitalia were more prone to depression, anxiety, and reduced sexual satisfaction. Conversely, those who felt more endowed reported a positive self-image. Researcher Adil Emrah Sonbahar emphasized the need for further studies to explore these effects across different sexual orientations. The current study involved only heterosexual participants. Hence, whether gay men go through the same feelings is still to be seen. #Queer Up Health
