In a thrilling episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16, Morphine Love Dion faced off against Sapphira Cristál in a lip sync battle for survival. Despite her fierce performance, Morphine was ultimately asked to sashay away from the competition in episode 13. In an exclusive exit interview with Out, Morphine opens up about her journey on the show, her impact on the Miami drag scene, and her ambitious plans to elevate the city to a new level of drag excellence, aiming to make it the ultimate "drag capital" for enthusiasts worldwide. Morphine shared that being on Drag Race brought her local celebrity status in Miami to new heights. Representing her city was her main goal, and the overwhelming love and support from the Miami LGBTQ+ community have been incredible. Despite any future endeavors, she said, Miami will always be home to her, and she's proud to represent the 305 wherever she goes. When Out asked, "Now that you have this huge platform from Drag Race, what’s next for Morphine?" she shared her plans for music and makeup ventures but said “My main goal, honestly, is to uplift Miami.” She aims to establish Miami as a prominent drag capital, similar to Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
