The National LGBTQ Task Force will recognize Emmy-winning Queer Eye star and LGBTQ activist Karamo with the National Leadership Award during its annual fundraising gala on October 19. Karamo is being honored for his dedication to combating HIV stigma and offering mental health support and education to the Black queer community. He has also been an advocate for his son Jason, who publicly came out as pansexual at 21. Funds raised through the gala will help advance the rights of LGBTQ individuals across the nation, with a special focus on Florida-based initiatives. Tickets for the event are available at thetaskforce.org/task-force-gala/. #Queer Up South Florida & Florida
