Breaking the silence, he apologizes for something he said earlier and tells her, "I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. If you want to change your name, if you want to wear a dress… I don’t know the kind of support you need, but let’s get you some for all this, this transgender stuff.” The daughter's face lights up with hope as she asks if he's serious and he responds, “This is me supporting you. This is me saying I love you. This is me not losing you.” The video ends with the father calling her by her new name, Holly, and the two sharing an emotional hug.
