Federal Judge Halts Title IX LGBTQ+ Protections in Six States

A federal judge has temporarily blocked amendments to Title IX that would have increased protections for LGBTQ+ students in six states. On Monday, Judge Danny Reeves granted a preliminary injunction for Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. This follows Judge Terry Doughty’s recent ruling blocking the expansion in Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, and Idaho. #Queer Up Courts
