Former Abercrombie & Fitch Chief Executive Arrested In Sex-Trafficking Investigation

In a shocking development, former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries and his partner, Matthew Smith, were arrested on Tuesday morning in West Palm Beach, Florida. They are part of an investigation into alleged sex trafficking and abuse, along with a third man, Jim Jacobson, described as a “middle man.” Jeffries, who led the popular fashion brand from 1992 to 2014, is accused of abusing aspiring male models at sex parties hosted at their homes and in hotel suites globally. Reports indicate that these gatherings were part of a “highly organized network” of sexual trafficking. The models involved claimed they were compensated up to $1,000 to attend these parties, where they were allegedly provided with poppers and required to sign non-disclosure agreements. The FBI initiated an investigation following claims made by the BBC. Brad Edwards from Edwards Henderson, the law firm representing some of the victims, emphasized the significance of the arrests, stating, “These arrests are a huge first step towards obtaining justice for the many [alleged] victims who were exploited and abused through this sex-trafficking scheme that operated for many years under the legitimate cover Abercrombie provided.” #Queer Up Social Justice
