Former President Donald Trump is gearing up for this week's highly anticipated debate with President Joe Biden in Atlanta, hosted by CNN. However, unlike conventional debate preparations, Trump is taking a unique approach, favoring town hall events and policy meetings over mock debates. Trump is holding policy meetings with advisers and congressional allies, focusing on key topics such as the economy, immigration, and democracy. Rather than memorizing scripted responses, the campaign is arranging sessions with policy experts to ensure Trump is well-versed on potential debate topics. During a recent visit with congressional Republicans, Trump engaged in a debate discussion session with Senators Marco Rubio and Eric Schmitt, alongside a group of his advisers. Many of these sessions have included individuals from his previous administration, including Ric Grenell, former acting Director of National Intelligence, who is openly gay. The CNN debate on June 27, moderated by anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, will last approximately 90 minutes with two commercial breaks. It marks the first of two scheduled debates between the candidates, with the second hosted by ABC News on September 10. In an election year characterized by tight races, both candidates are viewing the debate as an opportunity to sway undecided voters and solidify their positions on key issues. #Queer Up Politics
