Hamburger Mary's is Sold And GM Leaves. What's Next For Drag Shows On Wilton Drive?

Hamburger Mary's, a former LGBTQ+ hotspot in Wilton Manors, is sold and its General Manager Christina Donohue will be serving her last day this week. Her LinkedIn profile does not mention anything about this being her last week at the job, nor does it give any idea of her next possible employment. With this development, the second iteration of Hamburger Mary’s is coming to a close, marking the end of an era for the popular franchise. Sources within the restaurant reveal that the new owners have no intentions of maintaining the Hamburger Mary’s brand. The current version of Hamburger Mary’s faced challenges from the start, hastily opening in time for Pride 2021 with a limited menu compared to other franchise locations. Operating mainly during shows or special events, they also omitted lunch service. While no official announcement has been made about the sale, Queer News Tonight will diligently follow this story. Stay tuned for the latest developments. #Queer Up Drag Culture
