In 1998 Will And Grace Showed A Gay Kiss On TV So Why Was It A Big Deal NYE On CNN 2024?

It has been 25 years since the Emmy-winning sitcom Will & Grace featured a kiss between two gay men, Will and Jack, in the episode "Acting Out" They were protesting at the Today show when weatherman Al Roker put a mic in front of their face, and the history kiss was planted. It’s the 21st century and homophobes are still allergic to queer love! 25 years later as the clock struck midnight, the thousands of people gathered in New York City’s Times Square turned to their loved ones to mark the auspicious moment with a simple kiss. As cameras captured the scene, the first kiss from 2024 picked up by CNN – alongside ABC and CBS – just happened to be shared by… wait for it.. two men. While LGBTQ+ people rejoiced at the meaningful moment of representation, right-wing homophobes are failing to digest this short moment of queer joy. Social media is full of hate filled posts. But more importantly, Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, and really all of LGBTQ+ America started 2024 in love and joy. #LoveWins #Queer Up Entertainment
