The Los Angeles chapter of Log Cabin Republicans (LCR), a gay conservative organization, shared a meme on their Instagram stories seemingly suggesting the death of President Joe Biden. The meme, using the "Kombucha Girl" format, depicted a woman's reaction changing from disgust to interest with the text "Joe Biden 1942-2024," implying his death this year. The Meidas Touch Network captured the meme, but it's no longer accessible as it was shared in an Instagram story. Many such anti-transgender posts are available in the LCR of LA’s feed. Despite Donald Trump's poor LGBTQ+ record and Joe Biden's positive stance, LCR has notably backed Trump in this election cycle. At Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, a fundraiser occurred earlier this month with an appearance by Melania Trump. Described by a co-host as "the launch of the single most important and unprecedented gay and lesbian voter outreach initiative," Trump was hailed as the most LGBTQ+ community-friendly president in American history. Last year, Isabella Riley Moody was named an "Outspoken Ambassador for 2023" by the Log Cabin Republicans. She is notorious for homophobic remarks and her support of Uganda’s “Kill the Gays” law. The LCR later removed her from their website. Will turning a blind eye to Trump and his hateful agendas serve the LCR? #Queer Up Politics
