Chicago police declared a "mass arrest situation" early Monday following the city's annual Pride parade. Arrests took place in the Lakeview neighborhood amid widespread fights and disruptions. Videos on Twitter showed clashes with police, who blocked off West Belmont, usually busy with all-night Pride celebrations. The number of arrests remains undisclosed. However, it is not the first time. From 2013 to 2015, Chicago's Pride Parade and its afterparty resulted in 46 to 52 arrests annually. Last year saw 25 arrests, including 21 adults and four juveniles. #Queer Up Social Justice
