Former First Lady Melania Trump is once again in the spotlight, this time for her increasing involvement with the Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative LGBTQ+ group. Despite her husband's legal troubles and her own relatively low political profile, Melania's connections with the organization have taken center stage. In April, Melania emerged from relative seclusion to headline an event at Mar-a-Lago for the Log Cabin Republicans. Now, Politico reports that she is slated to host another fundraiser for the group in July at Trump Tower, with attendees asked to contribute $100,000. Melania's affinity for the Log Cabin Republicans is evident in the fact that she is their biggest fundraising partner to date. Her commitment was further recognized three years ago when she was honored at Mar-a-Lago during a special dinner. While Melania's involvement with the organization is clear, it remains unclear whether she is financially compensated for her appearances. Reports suggest Melania earned over $1.2 million in speaking fees the year before, with her current rate for a speech around $155,000. However, Melania has remained mostly silent about her stance on her husband Trump’s political career and aspirations. Unlike her stepdaughter Ivanka, who recently wished her father a happy 78th birthday and is reportedly considering a more active role in his reelection campaign, Melania has kept a distance. #Queer Up Politics
