OUTshine Miami Spotlight Night Celebrates LGBTQ Cinema on October 26

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of film and celebration at OUTshine LGbtq+ Film Festival’s Miami's Spotlight Night on Saturday, October 26. Two captivating films will be showcased at Silverspot Cinemas Downtown, highlighting powerful queer narratives that delve into love, identity, and survival. Men's Spotlight Film will be Baby. It is a gripping tale that follows 18-year-old Wellington, known as Baby, who finds himself navigating the perilous streets of São Paulo after his release from a juvenile detention center. With no contact from his parents and no resources to rebuild his life, Baby encounters Ronaldo, a mature man who introduces him to new survival tactics. As their relationship evolves into a tumultuous affair marked by exploitation and protection, the film vividly portrays the duality of danger and opportunity that the city offers. Baby is a stylish, sexy exploration of life on the margins. The second film will be the Ladies' Spotlight Film called Split. It is a captivating story that follows stuntwoman Anna as she crosses paths with the charismatic actress Eve. Their initial exchange ignites a passionate love affair that forces Anna to confront her hidden desires and question her heterosexual marriage. Directed by a French feminist auteur and featuring an 80% female crew, Split explores themes of identity, courage, and the complexities of love. After the films await an exhilarating after-party at Silverspot Lounge, where you can mingle, dance, and celebrate the vibrant queer community. What more? we are joined by the OUTshine Film Festival director Allen Martello, to shed more light on the festival and its significance. #Queer Up Gay Culture
