In major breaking news for the LGBTQ+ South Florida Community, Hotspots Magazine Happening Out Television Network has learned that the February 2024 Pride Fort Lauderdale beach parade and festival has been canceled and will return in February 2025. Miik Martorell, President of Pride Fort Lauderdale has communicated the decision in a letter that Queer News Tonight is reporting now and Hotspots Magazine will publish tomorrow in its new edition. Martorell introduces the new Pride Executive Director Ernie Yuen that will start a new yearlong pride program called Pride 365. The 48th annual parade and festival will return on February 15, 2025. For 2024 Martorell announced that Pride On The Drive will expand in 2024 and include two days of celebration in Wilton Manors. Pride on the Drive will be hosted at Wilton Shoppes in the heart of the famous Wilton Drive and include stages, entertainment and support from local bars lead by Hunters and Alibi. Pride On The Drive will be Friday, February 9th and Saturday, February 10, 2024. Pride faced significant issues in 2023 that included a transition of the festival off the beach into Las Olas Park. This decision was likely the result of the difficulty with sponsorships for the 2024 event. Hotspots Magazine and Queer News Tonight will have much more on this developing story and anticipate a great success for Pride on the Drive 2024. #Queer Up Breaking News
