Singer and songwriter Chappell Roan will grace the cover of Rolling Stone for the first time in October, the magazine announced Tuesday. Roan has seen a meteoric rise this past year, selling out concerts and captivating audiences at festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago. Her music resonates with LGBTQ audiences, including tracks like “Good luck, babe!” about loving a girl who isn’t yet comfortable with her sexuality. She told Rolling Stone, “Right now, it’s more important than ever to use your vote, and I will do whatever it takes to protect people’s civil rights, especially the LGBTQ+ community. My ethics and values will always align with that, and that hasn’t changed with a different nominee. I feel lucky to be alive during an incredibly historical time period when a woman of color is a presidential nominee.” #Queer Up Entertainment
