A Texas-based Baptist church that denies the Holocaust happened and advocates for the execution of LGBTQ+ people just moved into a newly leased location in the Dallas area amid protests. Pastor Jonathan Shelley, who founded the Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth in 2014, has built a congregation around open hatred of Jewish and queer people. Stedfast pastors also openly promote the extermination of all LQBTQ+ people. The church's unabashed hatred has made it hard for the congregation to maintain a long-term brick-and-mortar home: in February 2022, Stedfast was evicted from its location in Hurst, Texas for violating lease terms.
