Republicans Push Resolution To Have Gay Rep. George Santos Expelled From The House

Six House Republicans introduced a resolution to expel out Republican Rep. George Santos just after he was hit with 10 more federal charges related to allegedly using other people’s money to enrich himself. However, Santos claims it is an attempt to silence the people of the Third Congressional District. The vote to remove Santos will require a two-thirds majority in the House, meaning it will require a substantial number of Republicans to pass. Republicans have a narrow majority in the House though. The House no longer has a speaker too after eight House Republicans voted with House Democrats to remove Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the speakership after Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced a motion to vacate. #Queer Up Politics
