Safe Schools Fights For LGBTQ+ History Month In Miami-Dade, But Loses

The organization Safe Schools works to create safer schools where all students can learn and thrive, regardless of real or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, their own or that of their parents or guardians. This week the Miami-Dade School Board considered a motion to recognize October LGBTQ+ history month. Safe Schools spoke at the board meeting to argue for the inclusion of the recognition of LGBTQ+ history month..What was near unanimous approval up to 2021, has now failed again for the 2nd year.
