Following public outcry over raids at Seattle LGBTQ+ bars, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) has halted enforcement of lewd conduct regulations. The LCB communicated this decision to state officials and declared it wouldn’t issue citations for violations observed during the raids. The board also confirmed that its participation in the Joint Enforcement Team (JET) has been paused. It has proposed amendments to the lewd conduct rules during its February 6 caucus, and the voting on this matter is scheduled for the upcoming week. State Senator Jamie Pedersen (D), the out gay majority floor leader, said the lawmakers are taking every possible measure to repeal the lewd conduct regulations. Meanwhile, Seattle's LGBTQ+ community has welcomed the LCB's decision. #Queer Up Business
