Surprise, All The Original Leading Men From 'Mean Girls' Are Now Gay

As the 2024 Mean Girls musical adaptation is out with notable queer representation, it takes us back to the 2004 classic Mean Girls. Two decades after its release, the film is still looked at as a staple of pop culture. For a generation of high school going queer people in the mid 2000s, Daniel Franzese’s “too gay to function” Damian was an awakening. But this is not the only connection between the queer community and Mean Girls. Three prominent male actors of the movie, Daniel Franzese (Damian), Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels), and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin Gnapoor) have come out as proud gays and they talk openly about their sexualities. Franzese was the first among the trio to come out in 2014. Jonathan Bennett came out as gay in 2017 and revealed that he was in a relationship with TV host Jaymes Vaughan, and Surendra came out as gay in 2018. #Queer Up Entertainment
