As the NCAA women's basketball Tournament championship in Ohio neared, a discussion during a recent press conference in Cleveland brought attention to transgender participation in sports. The conversation was initiated by a question posed to Dawn Staley, the head coach of the University of South Carolina women's basketball team, by Dan Zaksheske from OutKick, a right-wing platform affiliated with anti-trans activist Riley Gaines. Zaksheske asked the coach about the ongoing debate around transgender athletes participating in women's sports. Coach’s answer won people’s hearts. She said, “If you are a woman, you should play. If you consider yourself a woman and you want to play sports or vice versa, you should be able to play.” #Trans Rights
