Watch Russian Riot Police Raiding Gay Bar

Russian police raided another gay bar this week. A video posted by a Russian media outlet showed the raid which took place just weeks after the country’s highest court designated LGBTQ+ activists as extremists. And the new definition is any LGBTQ+ existence. The video, shared by the local news outlet Ura.ru, appears to show riot officers entering a darkly lit bar or club and then abruptly cutting the music and turning the lights on. The officers can be heard yelling, and then about a dozen or so patrons and bar staff members can be seen filing out of the venue. The video was recorded inside Fame, a gay bar in Russia’s fourth-largest city, Yekaterinburg (Yeka-taring-Burg). Russian police similarly raided gay bars in Moscow the previous weekend. #Queer Up The World View
