We're Here Cancelled By HBO After 4 Seasons

Priyanka, co-host of the latest season of the queer reality series We're Here, has expressed deep concern following the show's cancellation. Originally featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, and Eureka O’Hara, the HBO series was known for its compelling portrayal of drag queens traveling across the US to uplift small-town queer communities through one-night-only drag shows. The show, which highlighted the struggles of LGBTQ individuals in rural America, had been renewed for a fourth season with Priyanka, Sasha Velour, Jaida Essence Hall, and Latrice Royale. However, it has now been axed, leaving fans and participants disheartened. On TikTok, Priyanka reflected on the cancellation with visible sadness, saying, “We’re Here got cancelled, the season Sasha, Jaida, Latrice and I just did was the last and final season.” She also expressed concern over the potential decline of queer content, stating, “It makes me worried for queer content to be cancelled and not renewed. It worries me that things are gonna get a little conservative. But that’s why we keep fighting, why we keep supporting drag queens, and the trans girls and non-binary artists.” Co-creators Johnnie Ingram and Stephen Warren expressed their gratitude, noting that the show's impact would endure despite its end. HBO echoed the same sentiment. We're Here remains available for streaming on Max in the US and Sky Max in the UK. #Queer Up Entertainment
